چکیده

Parallel magnetic resonance (MR) imaging techniques use multiple receiver coils for data acquisition. Sensitivity responses of these coils usually vary in space and must be estimated via a separate calibration process. We present an algorithm for jointly estimating MR images and coil sensitivity maps from subsampled k-space measurements. We pose the joint estimation problem as the recovery of a rank-one matrix from coded, linear measurements. We demonstrate the performance of our method on cardiac MRI datasets with multiple receiver coils.

Subspace based low rank & joint sparse matrix recovery

We consider the recovery of a low rank and jointly sparse matrix from under sampled measurements of its columns. This problem is highly relevant in the recovery of dynamic MRI data with high spatio-temporal resolution, where each column of the matrix corresponds to a frame in the image time series; the matrix is highly low-rank since the frames are highly correlated. Similarly the non-zero loca...

Accelerated imaging of rest and stress myocardial perfusion MRI using multi-coil k-t SLR: a feasibility study

Background In myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI), highly accelerated acquisition can be used towards reducing the compromises in the image quality (spatio-temporal resolutions, volume coverage, SNR) routinely observed with the current clinical protocols. In this study, we demonstrate the feasibility of a recent accelerated dynamic MRI scheme, k-t SLR (based on sparse and low rank properties) (L...

The arrows indicate temporal blurring in the standard L+S image and y-t plot, which are removed by the motion-guided L+S approach without loss of spatial resolution. Low-Rank Modeling of Local $k$-Space Neighborhoods (LORAKS) for Constrained MRI

Recent theoretical results on low-rank matrix reconstruction have inspired significant interest in low-rank modeling of MRI images. Existing approaches have focused on higher-dimensional scenarios with data available from multiple channels, timepoints, or image contrasts. The present work demonstrates that single-channel, single-contrast, single-timepoint k-space data can also be mapped to low-...

Accelerated Cardiac Cine Using Locally Low Rank and Total Variation Constraints

INTRODUCTION: Simultaneously achieving high spatial and temporal resolution remains a challenge in 3D cardiac cine imaging. Constrained reconstruction promoting the low rank property of dynamic image matrices has been proposed for accelerated dynamic MRI [1,2]. Recently, locally low rank (LLR) constraint was proposed to exploit spatially-varied local rank-deficiency [3]. Moreover, the combinati...
